The 9th Annual National Workforce Association (NWA) Legislative Leadership Conference will focus on the new dynamic in Washington.  Following close on the heels of the mid-term elections, it's an ideal time to analyze the results, gather our collective thoughts, and forge a plan of action with the new Congress.

During the Conference, you will:
Become a better workforce advocate with sharpened skills to advance the workforce agenda, make better decisions and engage more effectively with national and state legislators, and local elected officials
Receive an insider's view of the forces at play in the New Congress
Broaden your understanding of what to expect from the new Congress and the likely dynamics with the Obama Administration
Hear ideas on developing more productive partnerships with key industry sectors, community colleges and organized labor
Gain insights into innovative practices in creating regional collaboratives that better respond to community needs

Special Pre-Conference Sessions!
This year’s preconference sessions will take place on Saturday, December 4, 2010. Divided into a morning and an afternoon session, you may register for the entire day ($245) or choose to attend either half day session ($175).

David Bradley, CEO of NWA, will take you through the paces in a lively format that will greatly enhance the efficacy of your advocacy efforts. Session A (9:30 – noon), Sharpening your Advocacy Skills will discuss advocacy within the context of the new Congress. In the afternoon, Session B (1:30 – 4:00), Applying your Advocacy Skills, will discuss the dynamics of advocacy within specific state contexts to help you apply the insights from the morning session in the most direct way.

Anyone dissatisfied with status quo in DC who desires more support and recognition for the workforce system, and wants to help make a difference is encouraged to register. Please note that separate registration is required and seats are limited.

Full Conference:
Early Bird Rate:            $395 (prior to October 1, 2010)
NWA Member Rate:      $455 (starting October 2, 2010)
Non Member Rate:        $525 (Starting October 2, 2010)

                                     $175 Session 2:  Applying your Advocacy Skills
                                     $245 Attend Both Sessions

Registration Cancellation Policy
There is a $100 cancellation fee for any registrations canceled up to 30 days prior to an event. After 30 days prior to an event, full registration fee is due whether you attend or not. Substitutions may be made at any time at no cost.
