Fall Virtual National Convening
October 24 & 25, 2017

About the Convening
The National Student Attendance, Engagement, and Success Center is hosting a Virtual National Convening via WebEx on October 24-25, 2017. The primary objectives of the convening are to:
- Build on the momentum of April’s Virtual Convening
- Deepen attendees' knowledge, expertise and network connections around Early Warning Systems design and implementation
- Explore the successes and challenges of implementing Early Warning Systems
- Leverage the tools, resources, and knowledge of other U.S. Dept. of Education Technical Assistance Centers related to student success
Participants of the Virtual National Convening will have the opportunity to hear from national content experts on Early Warning Systems, Chronic Absenteeism, and Success Mentors.
The convening will begin on Tuesday, October 24, at Noon EDT, and will adjourn on Wednesday, October 25, at 5:30 PM EDT. There will be 45-minute and 75-minute interactive sessions with live Q&A.

Who Should Attend
- ESSA state plan participants: State Department of Education employees and others who are providing input to the state ESSA plan
- School and District staff members: Individuals who are interested in learning more about key concepts and addressing chronic absenteeism, using mentors, and implementing Early Warning Systems
- Community members or organization: Individuals who provide supports for students and are looking for additional ways to help young people prepare for the future.

Pre-registration is required! In order to prepare for the convening, we need to know who is coming and how many people to prepare for. Please note that we reserve the right to cancel break-out sessions at short notice if we do not have the minimum number of attendees. Also, all materials used at the Convening will be available on the Center’s website.
